June 11th 1993 a « peculiar » association was born in the capital city of Wallonia. Its goals were simple: promote the harp and the Namur composers who appreciated this instrument and composed for it during the last decades.

Since then « Les amis de la harpe mosane » are motivated to promote this great instrument in Belgium and abroad. They have organized concerts and auditions allowing young talented students to perform in public. Master classes, exhibitions and an International harp contest have been created. This competition takes place traditionally in November every three years.

Moreover. the association gives his members the possibility to get acquainted with the harp repertoire, its pedagogy and its history via this web site.
